1999 Mar. 23.88 UT: m1=13.6, Dia.=0.7', DC=3 ... 41-cm L... Andrew Pearce (Nedlands, Western Australia) [Comet again seen as a diffuse object with some degree of condensation which confirms last night's observation. =20 Accurate magnitude was obtained due to close proximity of the variable star RR SGR which has a good sequence from VSS RASNZ. Clouds again made = the observation brief!]
1999 Mar. 22.87 UT: m1=13.5: ... 41-cm L... Andrew Pearce (Nedlands, Western Australia) [Comet observed as a distinct diffuse object at predicted position through breaks in the clouds. Unfortunately there wasn't enough time to check for motion and to make a more accurate magnitude estimate.]

1999 Mar. 21.50 UT: m1=13.3:, Dia.=<1' ... 41-cm L... Alan Hale (Cloudcroft, NM) [comet suspected during brief observing window before onset of dawn]
