Clay Sherrod (ASO - Petit Jean H41) [Comet has undergone a remarkable transformation in central /nuclear regions; the nucleus is no longer a distinct and stellar feature, but rather quite diffuse and open with a very faint suspect centroid; a major cloud extension emanates from this central feature to the NW but cannot be characterized as a "tail" but rather intensified coma area; comet continues to move rapidly in a WSW direction; strong moonlight, poor night]

Clay Sherrod (ASO - Petit Jean H41) [Note that diam. indicates the expanding coma cloud to the NW of the comet's strong nucleus; D/C is indicative of condensation strength; coma expansion is becoming more evident even in spite of strong gibbous moonlight west of comet]

Andrew Pearce (City Beach, Western Australia) [This observation was a bit of a long shot with the comet's elongation from the Sun only 18 deg and the comet only 4 -5 deg above the horizon at the time of the observation. Stars of mag 8.5 seen clearly at the comet's location, however excessive haze over the sea horizon would have hindered observations of any extended object.
